CARSON TING / AKA CHAIRMAN TING

Carson first cut his teeth as an advertising art director in Toronto after graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design. After spending over 17 years working in advertising to help build brands like Nike Jordan, Sony, Lexus, and more, Carson decided to start his own art and design studio in Vancouver called Chairman Ting.

The studio name is inspired by the idea of creating something industrious, grand, and ridiculous for a company that is small but has the capabilities to take on projects for clients like Nike, Snoop Dog’s 19 Crimes wine, Red Bull, Microsoft, adidas Originals, Porsche, The Cartoon Network, The NHL, Kidrobot, and much more.

In 2020, Carson’s studio helped the Vancouver Whitecaps raise over $150,000 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank with his piece "It Takes a Village", created in honour of all the frontline heroes during the pandemic.

ALEX BEIM / AKA TANGIBLE

From graphic designer to digital creative to interactive artist, Alex Beim’s career has been a diverse journey.

His interest in moving interactivity away from the screen and into the physical world led to the launch of Tangible in 2006. Since then, he has focused on developing interactive experiences that engage people in public and commercial spaces, and his artworks have been seen by millions worldwide.

His goal is to generate a sense of community through play, changing the way we see and use technology, to make it a catalyst rather than a barrier for social interaction.
